Our client is a globally recognised independent management consulting firm specialising in digital strategy, operations and data and AI transformation. With a strong international footprint and proven track record, it had two North American offices and was preparing to launch a new presence in New York.
The challenge: Hiring for impact in a new location
As part of its North American growth strategy, the firm engaged InX to lead a Partner-level search in New York City for a senior leader who could operate across multiple industries and functions, build a high-performing team in a new location and support the firm’s long-term global ambitions. The brief required a rare leadership profile: a commercially driven operator capable of establishing culture, teams and market presence from the ground up.
The ideal candidate would combine deep expertise in at least one industry vertical, aligned with the firm’s growth priorities. Strong functional knowledge across digital, data, AI and broader technology was essential, with experience in strategy or operations preferred. The role also demanded a track record of team-building and commercial delivery, alongside a clear appetite for risk and ambiguity — critical for a greenfield leadership opportunity.
