When you reach a viewpoint, whether the top of a mountain or a well-positioned hill, you take a look around at the sights. You might see a cathedral in the distance and marvel at how the sun hits the spire. A fellow hiker may be delighted by the way the land slopes down to a crisp, flat lake. Another might be disappointed by the cloud coverage and partial mist and complain that they’ve seen better views before.
The point is: the view from the top can be different depending on where you stand and the previous views you’re measuring it against.
