Firstly, could you give the readers a short summary of what you’re responsible for within the InX North America team?
Marc: I lead our Professional Services practice across North America, working with consulting firms on Managing Director and Partner-level hires. My personal remit focuses on strategy and operations-focused consulting firms. Clients value the fact that I’ve walked in their shoes — I began my career in management consulting, which gives me real insight into the dynamics of these roles. From individual placements to team lift-outs and strategic builds, I help firms unlock growth through leadership.
Diya: My focus is placing Partner and Director-level leaders into consulting firms across North America. I work exclusively in the supply chain and procurement space, from operational excellence and procurement transformation to private equity value creation. Every mandate is functionally deep and strategically aligned, and my goal is always to deliver leaders who move the needle.
Liam: I lead Data & AI for InX here in North America, working with Partners and Directors exclusively in management consulting, to drive growth through strategic hires. Whether that is an individual hire, a team move, or a larger scale carve-out, I always aim to support the hire of leaders who not only meet the client’s requirements but will stay in the long term.
Gabby: I lead research and delivery for our North America team. That means working behind the scenes on every engagement, mapping markets, identifying talent and making sure we’re not just finding candidates, but the right ones. My work supports our ability to deliver high-calibre, insight-driven search for every client.
The executive search market is fiercely competitive; what would you say sets Inx apart?
Marc: For me, it comes down to our network and the precision with which we operate. We’re embedded in the management consulting circuit — from MBB to high-growth boutiques — and understand the nuances of each firm’s strategic priorities. Our engagements are highly tailored but scalable, whether it’s a single hire or a full team build. Working alongside specialists ensures everything we do is aligned both functionally and commercially. Ultimately, clients come to us because we consistently deliver leaders who make a measurable difference.
Diya: What really differentiates us is our singular focus. My practice is dedicated entirely to supply chain and procurement in consulting, and we operate exclusively at the Partner and Director level. That depth allows us to be truly consultative, whether it’s an individual hire, a team lift-out or a broader capability build. We take a high touch, retained approach, grounded in transparency and discipline, and our reach spans the major US markets and beyond. We’re not just delivering talent — we’re helping firms scale strategically and sustainably.
Liam: We focus exclusively on consulting and, deeper than that, we only work at the Director level and above. It is a niche within a niche, and so we build very strong relationships with senior leaders in our space. The commitment to sticking to those niches — and excelling in them — is greater at InX than any other firm I have worked at.
Gabby: I would say that what sets InX apart is our precision and depth in the professional services space. We are fully embedded in the industry and operate exclusively at senior levels, which allows us to be highly targeted and strategic in how we engage. Every search is retained, relationship-driven and grounded in a clear understanding of each firm's unique priorities. Whether it’s a key individual hire or a broader team build, we deliver with consistency and credibility.
Finally, we want to get to know you outside of work. Tell us a bit about yourself...
What’s the best restaurant or bar in your city?
Marc: The Beekman Hotel is great for both client meetings and after-work drinks. It is grand and sophisticated, yet homely and comfortable.
Diya: Old Mates, Seaport. Order the Spinning Around cocktail and thank me later!
Liam: For drinks, The Dead Rabbit is a classic. For food, I love Omakaseed at the Sanctuary Hotel.
Gabby: LaRina Pastificio in Brooklyn for the handmade pasta and cosy vibe. In Boston, it’s Modern Pastry for cannolis, Luke’s Lobster for a proper roll and Grill 23 for the best steak (don’t skip the warm chocolate chip cookie for dessert).
What is the most overrated tourist attraction, dish or sport?
Marc: I’m going to have to say baseball. Coming from the UK, we are used to high energy, fast-moving sports — baseball is a far cry from these, sadly!
Diya: This is going to be a bit controversial, but the spicy rigatoni pasta at Carbone. If you can’t get a reservation, just add Calabrian chili paste to your vodka sauce at home and you won’t have missed a thing!
Liam: I refuse to take visitors to Times Square.
Gabby: Faneuil Hall in Boston.
What are you currently watching, reading or listening to?
Marc: Watching My Brilliant Friend, which offers insight into post-war Naples, and reading The Heart’s Invisible Furies, by John Boyne.
Diya: I just finished reading A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara, now reading I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman.
Liam: I just finished reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy — I couldn’t put it down. Chatabix is my favourite podcast, and the best thing I have watched recently is Department Q.
Gabby: Watching Homeland and The Great British Bake Off, which is a cozy classic. Swindled and Crime Junkie podcasts are always on rotation.
What’s your go-to karaoke song?
Marc: House of the Rising Sun by The Animals, although I frequently get roped into a duet of British boyband Blue’s All Rise…
Diya: Either Riptide by Vance Joy or Spinning Around by Kylie Minogue (preferably after two Spinning Arounds from Old Mates)!
Liam: Suspicious Minds by Elvis.
Gabby: Karaoke is a national sport in the Philippines, where I’m from, but I’m not a huge fan. If I had to, I’d choose Mr Brightside by The Killers, as it always gets the crowd going.
What was your very first job?
Marc: A Sales Assistant at WH Smiths (think Hudson News meets Barnes & Noble).
Diya: Queen of upselling at KFC in Australia.
Liam: Doing the paper round at age 11. It was £4 per route, which funded my football sticker addiction.
Gabby: Scooping ice cream at JP Licks in Boston.
