In this edition, we are delighted to welcome Kieran McGrath to InX as a Researcher within our North American professional services practice. We sat down with Kieran to learn more about him, his background and what brought him to InX. 


Firstly, could you provide an overview of your role and area of specialism at InX?

As a Researcher within the strategy consulting team, I specialise in candidate research and talent strategy. My focus is on Partner and Director-level appointments, supporting leading strategy and boutique consulting firms, as well as high-growth businesses. Day to day, that means identifying high-potential candidates and building strong talent pipelines that give our clients a genuine competitive advantage when it comes to leadership hiring. 

Tell us more about your experience and background. How do you see that adding value in your new role?

I bring a background in strategic recruitment and business development, with a focus on building strong client relationships and delivering meaningful outcomes. Throughout my career I have worked closely with senior stakeholders, developing tailored solutions and translating complex client needs into clear, actionable strategies. 

I began my executive search career during a placement year in 2021, working across the veterinary sector in the UK and Europe before expanding into the US market. That range of experience across geographies and sectors has sharpened my ability to navigate different markets and understand what clients and candidates truly need. At InX, I am excited to bring that commercial, client-focused mindset to bear and help deliver practical, insight-driven value.

What was it about InX that stood out to you during your search process — what ultimately made you say yes?

What caught my attention was the energy and ambition of the team. Throughout the interview process, it was clear there is a strong culture of collaboration and a genuine drive to deliver meaningful results for clients.

What's the best piece of career advice you've ever received? 

Be where your feet are!

It means giving 100% to wherever you are and whatever you are doing — whether you are at your desk, in a meeting or taking a lunch break. Stay present, focus on the moment and make the most of it. 

What excites you most about the future of InX?

The opportunity to be part of a growing, ambitious business at a pivotal moment. There is a real sense of momentum here, and it genuinely feels like the start of a long-term career with an exceptional company. I am particularly motivated by the chance to develop alongside the business and contribute to its growth over the years ahead.
